Internet Browser Not Displaying What You Think It Should

In the early day of computers and dial up internet. Point and click know as graphical user interface ‘GUI’ cause graphical web pages to be slow to load. So the software companies creating browsers to use local computer memory to store temporary files. These files are called cache. With today high speed internet access. Cache is still used to speed up loading of web page. The problem is if the web page has been changed your browser may still load from local memory.

Windows owners using Microsoft Edge, Chrome or Fire Fox
To refresh a web page you can click on the refresh icon ↻. It still may load from local memory. To force a hard reload hold down Ctrl and F5 or, Shift and F5 or, Ctrl and Shift and press R.

Mac owners using Safari
To refresh a web page you can click on the refresh icon ↻. It still may load from local memory. To force a hard reload hold down Command (⌘) and Shift and R
